Hi everyone, Francis here again. We've taken a bit of a break from the project during Ramadan, but we're now finally getting started with the video interviews. The group did a fantastic job today utilising their training and concentrating really hard over two long interviews. They set up all the equipment and lined up the camera shots, and asked fantastic questions. Like true pros they didn't 'um' and 'ah' in the background! Looking forward to the next fantastic interview sessions.
To interview these guys made me feel like I was there with them. The most interesting thing I learned was that if a boat is saved from sinking in a storm, the people who come and save it get to own it afterwards.

The second seafarer we interviewed told us that if someone falls really ill at sea and dies then they are buried at sea. It is respectful and everyone sees you off, and then they blow the horn three times.
