We're in Tower Hamlets library to learn Somali history, and about when they first came to England. It was amazing day spending time to learn about Somalis and what they been through in their lifetime in England. I enjoyed reading the books and stories about the Somali Seafarers and the Somali community in Tower Hamlets.
This picture shows the culture of the Somali people, and how tight they are to their culture and experiences that are different to other cultures. I interviewed one of the seamen in our training session. He told me they used to come to get together and communicate with each other and advise each other to not forget their culture and their roots.
